I fell short of my writing goals, but 2023 gives me new hope

2023 is a new year for content writers.

No matter if you’re new to online writing or you’ve been writing for a while, it’s important to know where you are and set your goals from the start.

How do you envision yourself in 2023, and what writing goals do you want to achieve in the new year?

For me, 2022 was a tumultuous year, and while I did achieve some of my writing goals, I admit I fell short of some of them.

One big curveball life threw at me was a lack of time. While I was working a part-time job, I was also homeschooling my kids (it’s a full-time job if you ask me), writing on the side, and working on my side hustle.

It was stressful and mentally exhausting. And I won’t lie, it drained me to the point where I wanted to give up.

I had a few paying projects here and there. But that was it.

Many times I fell off the wagon and felt guilty for it. For example, I barely had time to pitch to clients due to time constraints. I couldn’t write as much as I wanted. And my writing income had taken a huge hit.
