Exactly and I agree with you. Taking prompt action is the key because if we don't it will lead to escalation. Some people worry that more more war won't solve the problem, but imagine what will happen if we do nothing? In this case since Ukrainians know what they're doing and do everything they can to defend their country, it makes a rational sense to support them in their effort. Weaning our support would sound like a betrayal and just give Putin more leeway to do whatever he wants.
