No one knows exactly how the algorithm works but one thing I know for sure is that consistency drives algorithm. The more you show up and commit to the platform, the more luck will come your way. The definition of viral is relative and on Medium viral article is any article that goes over 5K views and more. Some articles can go viral without curation and I’ve had a couple that went viral even though they weren’t distributed.
