I just hope that people who are still able to think for themselves and see the truth for what it is can help steer the country in a different direction. Also some people in Russia may have relatives in Europe or west who can provide them with detailed accounts of the war and they see the actual picture. I also hope that sanctions would put pressure on Putin and his oligarchs and the economic impact of these sanctions on the whole country.
