I think you may be right. I just started on Newsbreak and published two stories with them, both of which were trending news stories about omicrant variant, one of them got through and another one they rejected and flagged it for misinformation and giving me one strike. I have no idea why they did that and I appealed waiting for explanation. I published the same article here on Medium without a problem. If they keep adhering to such strict policies then no contributor would want to publish trending hot topics anymore. They're definitely shooting themselves in the foot with their policies.
