Some changes will be inevitable- like I said there will be social unrest, a rise in migration, etc.

Just think about it: if you're a citizen and you know your society is failing and degrading, would you want to live in that country? People who know better wouldn't want to stay. And in Russia it's a different situation than it was in Iraq- people in Russia had been used to luxuries and amenities of life it's a drastic change for them.
