Thank you for sharing such a personal piece with an open heart. With children, it's sometimes really hard to be a perfect parent. We all think we do what's best and realize later it may not be what's best for them in the long term. But I agree that the less children are spoiled from the beginning the better they'll turn out in the long run- more independent, more flexible, more resilient, etc.
