Vocal Media Is a Great Alternative to Medium

Why you should give Vocal a try

I’ve been writing on Medium for over a year and a half. Recently, I’ve decided to branch out into other platforms. As a writer, it’s important to diversify your income streams.

I’m just getting started on Vocal and trying to build my traction on there. I’m currently not a Vocal member.

One thing I’m not doing though is writing new articles. It just takes too much time and I’m already putting in enough time to Medium. What I do is simply repurpose my content from Medium on Vocal. I copy/paste my existing stories from Medium, and with some stories, I just change the titles. In short, I’m experimenting to see how far I can go.

One of the major downsides of Vocal is that there’s no community feature and low visibility. This makes it hard to build an audience. On the upside, Vocal gives you a $10 bonus after you publish 10 articles, and after you publish 50 articles you get $50.

If you’re not on Vocal member yet and you’ve already published many stories on Medium, I highly recommend that you try to repurpose your content on Vocal. Doing so won’t hurt. If anything, you’ll make a few extra bucks along the way.
